Since bursting onto the global stage as the Grand Prize winner of the Concurso Internacional de Canto Montserrat Caballé, he has appeared with leading opera companies and orchestras across the U.S. and abroad. A native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Christopher Johnson is a member of acclaimed chamber orchestra The Knights. Also currently serving as Director of Music and Organist at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Scranton, PA, and as Director of Chapel Music at The Interchurch Center in New York City on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, he also performs regularly as a flautist and organist with Ensemble Eccolo, a chamber ensemble based in Altenburg, Germany.
