Karl Marx Das Kapital - A Schemel Forum Evening Course

This 6-week course closely examines Karl Marx’s Capital: A Critique of Political Economy Volume 1 (1867). Perhaps no work of philosophy has impacted the world more than “Das Kapital,” from quasi-religious devotion to militant opposition. This seminar will investigate Capital in its own terms as a critique of political economy and the capitalist mode of production without losing sight of the larger philosophical, historical, and political context in and for which Marx composed his unfinished magnum opus.
